Canada has not been immune to a pandemic crisis in Catechetics.  The “Come to the Father” program, succeeded by the “Born of the Spirit” program, have left the great majority of Canadian Catholic children religiously illiterate.  This article was widely distributed by St. Joseph’s Workers for Life and Family in 1999 and 2000.

Foreword

Catechesis has been crisis in Canada since the introduction of the “New Catechetics”, exemplified in the Dutch Catechism and the Canadian “Come to the Father” program.  The solution is in following the law and directions of the Church.  This article points this out.  It was published in Challenge magazine in February, 1995.
